Key Points: Referral Required: Medical Massage requires a referral from a licensed healthcare provider such as a physician, chiropractor, or other healthcare professional. This ensures that the treatment is aligned with your medical care plan and is covered by insurance in many cases. Targeted Treatment: Unlike general relaxation massages, Medical Massage is focused on addressing specific musculoskeletal issues, such as chronic pain, muscle injuries, post-surgical recovery, or conditions like sciatica or fibromyalgia. Insurance Coverage: Currently, R&R is only registered with the VA to receive referrals in order to provide medical massage for our clients.
