Rehabilitate & Restructure: Clinical Bodywork Session

Description
The R&R Clinical Bodywork treatment will center around the stretching and manipulation of the muscles to focus on healing an ailment. If you suffer from chronic sore muscles or the feeling of knots in your back, therapeutic massage techniques specifically target this discomfort to restore your body back to a tension-free state. The goal of a therapeutic massage is to treat a health issue, rather than simply helping you to relax. Requiring an advanced knowledge and understanding of the musculoskeletal system and assessment, the practitioner will evaluate the patient to determine specific dysfunctions and create an individualized treatment plan to help correct this concern. Many people describe therapeutic massages as uncomfortable but a “good pain” that helps relieve the ailment they are suffering from. You may experience tenderness as your therapist works through your tissue. Various techniques may be applied as appropriate for your bodies needs. They may incorporate some aspects of deep tissue massage, trigger point work, and passive or resistive stretching techniques, gua sha (fascial scraping), cupping, or others. This service is ideally used to restructure and rehabilitate the whole body or can be provided in half hour sessions that focus on a specific area as well.
